Box Description
In ancient Greece - the cradle of European culture - Athens, Sparta, Corinth, and Thebes compete for dominance of the Greek peninsula and influence on Mount Olympus.

The players work to lead their city-states to victory. Starting with a small village, each builds their town into a metropolis with oracles, temples, theaters, towers, and streets. They try to secure fruitful lands for themselves while hindering their opponents' search for the same.

Players should watch their opponents carefully as a single clever move can turn the promise of victory into disappointing defeat.

The excitement of a strategy game with a surprisingly simple game system.

Games in a Box Notes
The Rio Grande Games website advertises Attika as being for ages 12+ rather than 10+ as the box states. Here is more from their website...

Each player oversees the building of his city-state. Temple, theater and oracle, a harbor with ships, vineyard with vintner, and many more must find space on the islands. Players must move fast to get the best land for themselves while blocking their opponents from good building spots. As building is expensive, players seek to save money by using the natural resources of the islands. Players also seek to organize their building in an order that gives them the best city-state.
