Box Description
The History of the Roman Empire is a fast-paced game that will take you through Rome's history in less than four hours. From the first Triumvirate in 60 BC to Emperor Romulus Augustus in 476 AD, you will be make history.

In The History of the Roman Empire each player takes on the role of a Roman Faction, commanding the Faction's Legions under the aegis of Emperors such as Augustus, Nero or Diocletianus. Each player will also command Barbarian Peoples outside of Rome's borders; allowing him to unleash savage Huns and Germans upon the other player's parts of the Roman Empire.

Through The History of the Roman Empire the players will not only have to deal with their ambitious opponents, but also rebellions, plagues and earthquakes. Event cards will also enable to players to use elite troops, charismatic leaders and even the gods themselves.

The History of the Roman Empire is of moderate complexity and the rules are structured to let you start playing as you read the rules.

The History of the Roman Empire is suitable for four players aged 15 or more, but can be played with two or three players as well. The playing time is between 3 and 4 hours.
